A Hi Tensile Steel Roofing and Wall Cladding, Apspan is a modern and attractive profile. The uniform rib design is both strong and lightweight with long spanning capabilities making it ideal for most roof and cladding applications. Its contemporary look and flexibility makes it ideal for unique architectural designs.

Apspan has effective sheet coverage of 700mm with rib height of 24mm. Conventional crest fixing with 4 fasteners per sheet to each support maximizes performance whilst allowing fast installation.

For roofing with continuous length sheets and no end laps the minimum roof pitch is 2 degrees (1 in 30).

RECOMMENDED FIXING METHOD
All fasteners must conform with AS3566 Class 3.
Crest Fixing:
    - Steel Supports: Tek 12 x 45mm self drilling screws with neoprene washer.
    - Timber Supports: Type 17 12 x 65mm self drilling screws with neoprene washer.
Pan Fixing for Walls:
    - Steel Supports: Tek 10 x 16mm self drilling screws with neoprene washer.
    - Timber Supports: Type 17 12 x 25mm self drilling screws with neoprene washer.
Always face side laps away from the prevailing weather.

MATERIALS
Apspan is manufactured and custom cut from Bluescope Hi Tensile ZINCALUME® or COLORBOND® Steel, with a G550 tensile strength base material and a AZ150 Coating in accordance with AS1397. Apspan is also available in COLORBOND® Ultra for harsh environments and COLORBOND® Metallic for specialist architectural applications.

Our products are supported by Bluescope Steel Limited and a full warranty is available.

LENGTHS / TRANSPORT
Apex Building Products can custom cut lengths to your requirements. Due to transport restrictions it is advisable to check with our office the maximum length.

HANDLING
Care should be taken at all times when handling Apspan. Packs must be kept dry and stored above ground level, should the sheets become wet separate immediately and individually wipe and place in an area to dry.

COMPATIBILITY
ZINCALUME® steel sheeting is compatible with most roofing products. It is NOT recommended to use lead flashing/nails, copper or copper alloy materials with or in run-off situations.

CUTTING
Apex Building Products provides this service, however sheets may be cut using a power saw with a metal cutting blade. COLORBOND® steel sheeting must be cut with the coloured surface facing the ground. Ensure that no hot particles or debris come into contact with the COLORBOND® .

CLEAN UP
To prevent premature corrosion at the completion of each day ensure the sheeting area is cleared of all debris, including nails, rivets, rags and all cutting or drilling filings.

WALKING
Clean soft sole shoes should be worn when walking on sheets.

DELIVERY
Apex Building Products delivers to site within 1 to 2 days. To prevent any damage we require suitable arrangements to be made for unloading. Unloading by crane, ensure the load is evenly spread, if crane unavailable adequate manpower is required.
